We had our General Monthly Meeting this past Tuesday evening at the beautiful Park Tavern at Piedmont Park. We networked for the first hour and then had the opportunity to hear Barrett Brooks speak about his mission to change the way the world thinks about building a community of young professionals.

Barrett Brooks is the Director of Member Success at Fizzle.co, an online education platform for honest independent entrepreneurs. Barrett is a graduate of the University of Georgia, where he received dual degrees in Accounting and Finance as well as a certificate in Personal and Organizational Leadership.

After graduating, Barrett began his career at a global professional services firm before leaving to pursue his personal purpose of helping others maximize their impact on the world. He went on to found Living for Monday, a coaching, consulting, and training company on a mission to change the way the world thinks about work by building a community of high performing young professionals.

Barrett has traveled to three continents and 10 countries and loves experiencing new places and people. He has a passion for staying fit and eating well. Whenever possible, he spends time in the great outdoors and has aspirations of becoming an avid fly-fisherman and accomplished outdoors man.

We had another great monthly Happy Hour at Del Frisco's Grill on Thursday, June 12th. Ideally located in Atlanta's bustling Buckhead neighborhood, Del Frisco's Grille offered our guests a stylish and inviting destination on one of the city's most vibrant thoroughfares, Peachtree Road. Within walking distance to the city's finest hotels and luxury shopping at Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza, the Grille is situated among the finest real estate in Atlanta. The double-decker patio is Atlanta's only and has become a standout feature and focal point of the "Buckhead curve," where guests are able to dine seasonally overlooking the energetic neighborhood.

We had an amazing night with several of our members at City Club of Buckhead's largest networking event of the month! Each month, City Club collaborates with another professional organization to provide you with the greatest opportunity for you to grow your network. This time, the City Club is collaborated with JCI Atlanta. We enjoyed a wonderful array of hors d'oeuvres and an open wine and beer bar. The selection was extensive and the conversations were full as we got to know one another and how we are all striving to create a better Atlanta community.

Our next networking event is coming up immediately after this Memorial Day weekend. Please join us at Park Tavern in Piedmont Park on Tuesday, March 27th where Wes Moss of Money Matters will discuss money, happiness, and the different habits of happy retirees vs. unhappy retirees. We look forward to seeing everyone out at our next event and we hope everyone enjoyed their time at City Club of Buckhead. Check out photos from the event below!
