Back on My Feet is a national nonprofit organization that uses running to help those experiencing homelessness change the way they see themselves so they can make real change in their lives that results in employment and independent living.
Back on My Feet aims to change the stereotypes associated with homelessness. Our Members might be experiencing homelessness right now, but they are coming from all walks of life—maybe just down on their luck or maybe just out of jail. Some were formerly mortgage brokers or college professors; others held jobs for many years and lost them. Some are veterans. So many are wonderful parents, siblings and spouses. We all come together in the morning as part of the same team, to move forward together and work towards a better future.
