Join JCI Atlanta and several of Atlanta's leading organizations for young professionals as we come together for our largest fundraiser of the year. This year, 100% of the proceeds from our event will benefit Bert's Big Adventure.
Bert's Big Adventure
Established in 2002, Bert’s Big Adventure is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides a magical, all-expenses-paid, five-day journey to Walt Disney World® for children with chronic and terminal illnesses.
Following the annual trip, Bert’s Big Adventure provides year-round support through initiatives such as the Reunion Adventures, the Fairy Godparent volunteer program, and additional charitable services. The trip and programs create a community of families that establish lasting friendships with others facing similar challenges.
More About Cocktails for Camp:
Cocktails for Kidneys (CFK) was founded when JCI Atlanta discovered a need to help out a kids camp, Camp Independence of the National Kidney Foundation, who was about to close its doors to due to a struggling economy back in 2011. Several YP groups were already discussing co-hosting a big event where we could bring everyone together, in one place. Since CFK was such a success with 500 people in attendance and raised over $10k in its inaugural year, we decided to make it an annual event. We changed the name to Cocktails for Camp (CFC) so we could choose a different children's camp each year to benefit. In 2013, we raised funds for Camp for the Blind of the Georgia Lions Club which netted nearly $12k and saw 700 - 800 people in attendance. In 2014, we repeated the success with our fundraiser for Camp Horizon. In 2015, we raised over $14,000.
This year will benefit Bert's Big Adventure at the Atlanta Fish Market and we expect to have over 1,000 people in attendance, raising well over $20K for this very deserving children's camp.
