Causes We Support

Junior Chamber International (JCI) is one of the biggest worldwide non-political and non-sectarian youth service organizations. It is an international community of citizens between the ages of 18 to 40 with the aim and purpose of creating positive change in the world. We believe that these changes must result from taking collective action to improve ourselves and the world around us.

Public Policy

Alongside our parent organizations, the US Jaycees and Junior Chamber International, JCI Atlanta has adopted the UN Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) as its public policy platform. The MDGs are eight ambitious goals set by the United Nations to address the most pressing social and economic needs of the United States and the rest of the world:

  1. Eradicate extreme poverty and hunger
  2. Achieve universal primary education
  3. Promote gender equality and empower women
  4. Reduce child mortality
  5. Improve maternal help
  6. Combat HIV/AIDS, malaria, and other diseases
  7. Ensure environmental sustainability
  8. Develop a global partnership for development

Local Causes

Throughout our history, the Atlanta Jaycees have volunteered our time, effort, events, funds, and care towards some of the best causes in our area.

Through volunteering in monthly Community Development events, conducting charitable fundraising, and donating proceeds from our events, our members always find new ways to give back to the community.
